Fundraising for any cause is brutally hard but it seems it is getting more and more difficult these days. My friend Mandie is doing the 60 kilometer walk for Women’s Cancers in Toronto in September. She has been fundraising tirelessly all year for the event. There have been yard sales, biker rallies, jewelry parties and golf tournaments just to name a few. Another great idea to raise money for cancer research are vehicle donations. Car donations are a great way to rid yourself of your unwanted vehicle and get a tax receipt for your generosity. Cancer research gives patients hope for a cure. You can’t have enough hope. The more research funds available means more great work can be done to finding a cure and eradicating the planet of this awful disease. We have lost one family member already to pancreatic cancer and we will be losing another dear family member to mulitple cancers of the esophagus, liver and lungs sometime in the coming year. It has been awful watching how treatments affect the health and mental well being of a person. Extreme highs and extreme lows. If more money means that a cure can be found and hope and peace can come to cancer patients around the world, then to me it’s all good. It’s easy to donate a car. Click on this link : Donate Car and they will take it from there. You will be helping thousands with your donation!
ROFL!!
I haven’t checked out this blog in ages. It seems to be bombarded with dust bunnies. Must remedy that.
Stay tuned for new posts!
I will admit that I have never been in a casino. The only gambling I have done is betting on horse racing with the girls way back when, which I thoroughly enjoyed.
Now you can do your gambling in an online casino. No need for people watching. You can still play the same games, lose the same amount of money and have the same fun. All in the comfort of your own home. You can play in your pajamas. You can play in your birthday suit. I find that a little creepy myself but to each their own.
Perhaps it time to start the morning with some slots?!LOL
Should his antidote mount a stumbling soup?
Deep thoughts or something completely different? I hate to tell you but it’s simply a matter of proving to a sponsor that I own my own blog. I bet you wished it was something else, don’t you? ROFL!!
Hi there,
It’s busy as a bee here. School classes begin in 14 days and we are on the fast track to getting ourselves back into the schedules. I can hardly wait. My daughter not so much. LOL. She’s looking forward to starting school again but it’s the getting up early in the morning thing that isn’t floating her boat. Her days of sleeping in are no more. I’ve been waking her up a half hour earlier each week. This week she’s up at 7. Next week she’ll be getting up at 6:30 which is the normal school time.
It’s the most wonderful time of the year!!! ROFL
My best friend’s son wears the coolest t-shirts. They have incredibly funny sayings on them and they crack me right up. One year Connie and her husband gave me t-shirt for blondes with instructions on where to tuck it in and where the head and arms go. It is ratty and worn out but it still my favorite t-shirt.
I was bombing around the web this afternoon and found a site where I can design my own t-shirt. Easy as 1,2, 3. I’m now trying to decide which saying I should put on mine. In a few minutes I can design and order my own 123print t-shirts. I love that idea!
Any suggestions on what I should have on my shirt?
This poor old blog is lonesome I think. LOL
Once in a while I write a post or two but for teh most part it sits neglected.
We are taking advantage of this wonderful heat wave. Nothing productive is getting done but we are relaxed and soaking up the sunshine and going for multiple swims a day. Who knows when Mother Nature will lose her marbles again and pour rain for another month solid.
My kid is a Disney addict. She lives and breathes her favorite Disney stars.
She has been trying to convince me that we should take her on vacation to Morey’s Piers and take advantage of some New Jersey attractions.
She has had me checking out their website for hotels and motels in Wildwood and is making a great case why Morey’s Piers is a “great place for a vacation Mom!!!”
Who is she fooling? She’s not interested in a vacation although she would love to spend a few days at some New Jersey water parks. What she wants is to drool over her favorite Disney star that are performing free at Morey’s Piers.
She thought she could pull a fast one on me! LOL. (Don’t tell her I thought she was very convincing, okay?)
Holey jumpins it’s cold outside! For the middle of July, it feels more like October. Temps are cool and hoodies are required. Brrrrr!!!
My digital creativity has gone on hiatus and not taken me so I am keeping busycleaning out my computer of unwanted clutter and I’m also getting back into the crafts I quit doing 4 years ago when I got lost in Photoshop.
It’s feel great to be painting again and creating something I can actually touch.
It’s the little things that are bringing me joy and that’s what it’s all about.
Times really have changed. Gone are the days when you could safely go out and leave your house unlocked. Even having a yappy dog doesn’t cut it anymore.
Sadly we live in times where alarm systems are the norm and are needed. Years ago , when I grew up, a home security system was strictly for the well-to-do, now home security systems are almost a requirement for home insurance. It’s sad that we can no longer rely on trust-worthy neighbors to look after our properties. The kind of people who would call police at the first sight of anything out of the ordinary. Now people turn the other cheek and figure someone else will do it, why bother?
It’s sad that we have to turn to strangers and house alarms for peace of mind.
