ROFL!!

I haven’t done a Name The Bastard Kit thing in ages!! Shame on me for thinking of my own kit names! ROFL!! *Edited* Contest closed! Name has been picked! Stay tuned!

OK here’s the deal…Here’s the kit that took me over 3 months to do thanks to a brilliant idea I had to work with this color swatch. I should have just threw up my hands and said “F**k it” after working with the swatch for about 15 minutes…however I slogged through and finished a full kit. It’s not overly feminine or masculine either. A general all-purpose kind of thing.. :P Ready?

*Edited* Contest closed! Name has been picked! Stay tuned!

Here’s a gift for Tuesday…

Morning peoples!!

Had a really nice weekend. House is still clean a few days later. LOL! Julez had a friend over Saturday night & I took the girls to see the movie How To Train Your Dragon. We all LOVED it!! Helps that Gerard Butler does one of the voices too. He is sooooo yummy!

Clean up your drool Connie!!! :P :hands you some pudding….: BWAHAHAHAAHAHAHA!!!!!!

Sunday was a completely lazy day. It rained all day, Julie was at Emma’s so Steve and I stayed in bed . Was a nice afternoon until Cheddar came bouncing into the room after figuring out how to break out of his crate. ROFL!! (make mental note to double check latches next time..)

Don’t really have a lot to yak about today. I’m still looking for someone for a Guest CT position. If interested, see this post. Want to get a little bit of designing done so I’m going to quit chatting, make some lemon squares and get to work. Still cleaning my computer out so here’s another freebie! :P

    No longer available.

      Enjoy your day!!

What a week. I got a ton of stuff crossed off on my to-do list for a change. Double checked the date for an appt in April (Good thing I called. They gave me the wrong date). Made a hotel reservation for a family wedding this summer. (already had a reservation at a different hotel but the hotel was seized and the owner arrested and jailed for embezzlement. Niceeeeeeeeeee. NOT). Got some designing done. Got some new packaging made. Got a page scrapped (can’t show you yet :P ). Hubs got the new kitchen door installed. He originally bought wrong sized door. Got the old door off, go to install new one and discovered boo-boo. Had to load it back on the truck and drive to the city to get the right door. Left a hole in the kitchen covered with a baby gate to prevent Snickers from escaping. Baby gate does squat for the cold and wind entering the house. :P Made an apple pie and said pie has since been devoured (unfreakinbelievable). Got a new shower bar/handheld thingy installed after wanting one for 15 years. All it took was 1 year of Julie whining that “she NEEDED one cuz AUNT CONNIE had one and it was the BEST shower ever Dad!!!!” (thanks Connie!!!). Got another pile of stuff ready to go to the Salvation Army (maybe tomorrow…we’ll see)…all told it was a productive week. I hurt like a bugger in my shoulder but I got a ton done…

      Lemme find my happy place….

Yep there he is…I love Jason Statham. Gimme a sec while I clean up my drooled-up keyboard. ;-)

OK I have a ton to show ya so pour a cuppa and let’s get crackin’ shall we?!

Miss Jodiann aka Bean has been keeping me busy putting new products in her “Bean store.”

Clear Day formerly called Gloss It styles are my most used styles. I use them for all kinds of digital goodness. Definately must-haves!!

      Transparent, seamless, gelly hearts!!!

And especially for Easter, Jodiann has created Easter Cross styles!!!

These 3 products are on sale for few days so swing by Bean‘s store and treat yourself to a goodie!! :D

I also have a new kit in the store called Daybreak! (testing out the new packaging too! )

I saw this incredible photo of the sun rising. The photo had these amazingly vibrant shades of pinks, purples, corals and blues. I lost that photo in a crash but had this color swatch to re-create that memory. Some elements are lightly shadowed. Personal Use only.

      Kit contents:
      1 alpha
      12 papers
      2 beads spills
      1 diamond drop
      3 buttons
      1 charm
      1 clip
      1 corner wrap
      1 dangle
      1 flourish
      8 asst. flowers
      2 frames
      2 greens
      2 glitter smears
      1 heart
      1 label
      3 leaves
      2 page wraps
      4 loose petals
      1 hatpin
      7 asst. ribbons
      2 ribbon frames
      1 sequin spill

My CT got this kit just a few days ago but they have been busy none the less! I ♥ my girls!!

By Poobah: Her two neices are growing so fast!! :D

By Jan: Such a cute pic of her daughter Morgan (pre-sass!) ROFL!

By Shannon: Miss Nadya looks so angelic in this LO…..love her dreamy expression…. ;-)

By Me: (don’t pass out now). This is Miss Ciera and she’s the granddaughter of a guy I went to high school with. Her mom gave me permission to post Ciera’s pic. Thank you!!!!

Daybreak is on sale for a  few days so swing by my store and grab a goody or two!!

Speaking of CT’s…. I’m having a guest CT call!!

We’ll go on a one or two kit trial and if it works well then a permanent team position may be offered. Call will end when the right fit has been found!! Apply at designsbykristine AT gmail DOT com. Please include a short bio, a link to your favorite gallery and a list of the other CT’s you are a member of. Good luck!

Okee doke. I have two more things left on my to-do list to actually do so I’m going to sign off and git’erdone!!!! Have a great weekend!!!

The grass has riz!!!!! ROFL!! I’m trying to be patient. I want to get digging in my garden and plant flowers and start an herb garden out back by the pool. I haven’t really done any gardening the last two years because of the huge deck project and putting the new roof on. Good thing too because the guys smashed at least half of the solar lights when they were stripping the roof and mangled quite a few plants. I want to divide my monster peony bush, plant some gerberas, some herbs, some lavender and get the composter set up again. We still have 3 or 4 rock gardens to create but this is another 2 year project so it doesn’t all have to be done NOW. The garage and the basement/man-pit are slowly getting cleaned out. I’m going to take a truckload of stuff to Salvation Army today or tomorrow. I’ve been planning out a living-room re-do as well. It needs paint badly and the curtains HAVE to go. I won’t start that though until I have the curtains bought and the other decorations. I know the color the walls will be but still haven’t decided if I want to create another stencil or do crown moulding. So many ideas…so little money. ROFL!! I’m sure I’ll find some ideas too yard-saling this spring….. :D

Because I am soooooooo behind in my CT duties (Kim knows I’m an eejit), I put Cheddar in the crate, put in ear plugs and scrapped. :P

I used Merry A Round which is Kim’s new carnival-themed kit.

Love the colors in this one….Now Cheddar isn’t really a carnival act but he is bit of a freak (you have to be to live in this house)… :P Here he is lookin’ pitiful.

An hour before meal time he lays down by his bowl and looks as pitiful as he can in the hope someone will feel sorry for him and feed him earlier. (nobody falls for it) :P

Well that’s it for me today. I have a ton of things on the go today (none of it digital either) I want to go thru my pattern books and find something cool to paint for the living room. Might as well clean up the craft corner while I’m down there (my teeny counter is covered in man-crap). Have a great day eh!!!!

Mandie you are right. There definately is something to be said for a routine. March Break was a hell of a lot of fun but I really need to get back into a regular pattern of sleep, school, work and cooking.

My holiday was a riot. Except for the drive there. That was crappy. LOL. I woke up in the morning to rain, freezing rain, snow and high winds. Bleh. It poured the entire trip except for a 10 mile stretch of highway where it was sunny and on THAT stretch I was parked on the highway because there was a really bad accident. Choppers airlifting folks to hospital. The coroner was involved. I sat there for an hour and a half before they got all people extracted and off to hospital and we could get moving again. I should have packed a book but the trucker parked beside me could get his finger 3 knuckles deep in his nose so at least I had entertainment. :P It was 7 1/2 hours in the car but I got there safe and sound. Just really tired. The weather for the rest of the week was perfect. Sunny and warm. Connie and I walked all over town visiting regular haunts and laughing out butts off at the amount of folks with Christmas decorations out. Really? (Connie, Steve laughed his ass off at the snowmen in the trunk.ROFL!!) We went out for fries, ice cream, went to see Alice in Wonderland and yakked ourselves silly. It was a blast. I got to see my folks for a brief visit before I headed back on Friday. The drive back only took 5 1/2 hours (even after taking the wrong exit). Stopped at Walmart to pick up some cream & pain reliever gel and got home in time to have a wee snooze while Steve was taking Julie to see Alice In Wonderland in 3D. Julie loved it!! Saturday Julez was at a friends for a sleepover and they went to see Diary Of A Wimpy Kid (Julie’s fave book) and she LOVED the movie. Thanks Mandie! She had a riot!!!! We had an afternoon together as a family and today is the first day back to school after the holiday. Parents all over Ontario rejoice! ROFL!! I am hoping to get a little bit more cleaning done today and maybe make a pie. I got the bathtub clean yesterday before my shoulder gave out so I’ll see how it feels today. Cheddar is currently tied to me because he decided he would much rather pee in the house where it was warm than go outside. I’m thinking no. He loses his freedom. Whiskers is breathing a sigh of relief. Cheddar can’t chase him for a day or two until he gets back on track. Steve will get an earful when he gets home tonight. He got up very early, put Cheddar out and got ready for work. Rather than putting him back in his crate when he left for work he left him loose. I woke up to Cheddar and Whiskers in full flight, growling and hissing in full volume and barking from the dog who was having a riot. I wasn’t amused.

Well I have some things I want to get done. Julie’s lunch was made last night (over eager perhaps?!) so I’m going to throw some laundry in and sweep the floors now that Cheddar is in his crate sleeping.

      Have a great day!!! :D

      Mornin’ folks!!!

Going to be a quickie post today. Have a ton of errands to do today to get Steve and Julie ready for their week alone. Julie has a birthday party to go to tonight at a spa in Hagersville. Manis, pedis and mud masks….lil bugger has been to a spa more than me! LOL!!  Tomorrow we have a surprise 80th birthday party for our neighbor Charlie to go to; then first thing Sunday I am outta here!! Yesterday I went looking to get all the driving tunes ready and we are missing a huge cardboard box of CDs. It’s in the basement somewhere but if you saw the basement you would understand why the box is missing. Steve says he will clean the basement when I’m gone…..R….I…G….H…..T…. :P

My favorite hag Kim has an overlay grab bag in her store!!

Chock full of GORGEOUS overlays and I mean GORGEOUS!!! You can get the overlay grab bag at DSO and DSV for a limited time!! :D

While I’m on vacation I put my stuff on SALE!!!! :P

Sale ends on my return date of March 20th so grab some goodies (CU included) before the sale ends and before some are retired permanently!! :D

Are you countin’ Connie? Are ya? Huh? LOL! Five more big sleeps until I barge into your house demanding my tea , shoving people aside to get to the bathroom and the cackling can commence. ROFL! I am currently doing laundry and will hopefully have my bag packed tonight so I can grab it and go Sunday morning. If need be I will live in my jammies until then..LOL!! I am hoping for nice weather (means no snow) and very little traffic so I can be there in 5 1/2 hours. :D Why do I want to pack so early? Because 9 times out of ten I forget to pack something. Like socks. Like my pants. Like underwear. Socks and underwear are the first things on my list so there should be no brain farts….who am I fooling?! ROFL!! My tunes are all ready. I can listen to my local radio station up to Trenton which is almost 2 1/2 hours away so that is good but I need some rockin’ tunes to get me through the hills and dead zones where there isn’t even cell service. Music makes the trip fly faster…. :P

Here’s one all loaded up for the drive….

Got through some of the tax crap. Steve’s are done so that is one mess out of the way. Today I’ll be doing mine and then hopefully the desk can stay clean for a week or so? Is that asking too much?! LOL! I have everything organized so it’s just a matter of sitting down in peace and quiet and plowing through it….

Don’t forget there is an exclusive Bean gift in Friday’s newsletter! If you haven’t signed up yet for the newsletter, click here. Be the first to know about new products, exclusive freebies and sales!!

The FedEx guy was here yesterday. Young, good looking guy shows up at the door. Cheddar comes running when he hears the doorbell with the tail/ass end wagging like crazy. Hottie opens the door and backs into the corner with his leg protecting himself  TERRIFIED of “my beast” as he called him…..I started to LMFAO because of this tough guy afraid of this….

The worst Cheddar will do is lick you to death or hump your leg if he really takes a shine to ya….

Whiskers (our obese cat) however isn’t impressed with Cheddar. Whickers gets bounced and body slammed and chased at least 5 times a day.

The cat HATES excercise and now he’s getting tons of it. He’s not happy with the new diet plan. ROFL!!! Cheddar chases the other cat, Snickers but he doesn’t body slam her or bite her tail. She is more friendly with the dog than Whiskers who hates everyone and everything. ROFL!!

      Looky what I got?

Thanks so much Benita for showing me this!!!! Gorgeous!!! Benita used the last newsletter freebie for this beautiful LO!!

I went to the doctor’s on Monday and got my results. (first they had to FIND them because they lost them. That took 45 minutes…). The problem with my hands is mild rheumatoid arthrits, hyper-sensitivity to cold (should clear up when it warms up in late spring) and the tingling is because I have pernicious anemia. (just a fancy medical term for being B 12 deficient.) I take a B 12 vitamin everyday and the tingling goes away. The shoulder pain is tendonitis in the rotator cuff and bicep. I am now on the waiting list for physio but that is still 8 weeks away. I have stretches to do to try and get some mobility back. My goal is to be able to do up my own bra. Right now I can’t put my hand on my waist so I have a long way to go yet. Heat, ice and lots of ibuprofen for pain; but basically I am looking at another 3-6 months after physio before it’s healed and I have full motion back.

Well that’s the scoop around here (I think that’s all the scoop…) :P I have a ton of stuff to do today so I’ll sign off for now. Have a great day!!!
