(I say that just to get Diane wound up. She’s off on Mondays now for a bit so she likes Mondays too…temporarily.. ). I’ll take it. Bwahahahaha

Well I FINALLY opened up Photoshop and did some scrapping… (click on them to see full size)

These folks are Scott & his wife Amber. I went to high school with Scott and he is an absolute nutbar!! ROFL! I haven’t met Amber in person yet but from what I have gathered from chats on Facebook she is equally as nuts as he is. LOL. They are coming up sometime this fall to our place so I can feed them and catch up. (they only live an hour away).I haven’t seen him in 25 years.!!

This is Amber again. She is so photogenic. This shot was taken at the high school reunion a few weeks ago. I used Kim’s kit Mezzaluna for this one. I have used that kit so many times I can’t even count! I think it’s one of my favorites!!!!

and last but not least there’s this one…

OK this one cracks me up because this is the only photo I have of her with Santa where she isn’t tear stained and freaking out. Every time she bugs to have her picture taken with Santa and every time she’s backs off because the guy playing Santa gives her the creeps. LOL She’ll be 10 this Christmas and she still gives him a wide berth….Just hand over the gifts and no one’s eardrums get shattered.ROFL I used Kim’s newest sugary kit called Candy Christmas.

This is definately a kit I’ll be using a few times! Julie’s birthday is the week before Christmas so I have a ton of pics of her in front of the tree with her mini-wenches!!! LOL Candy Christmas is on sale this week for a few more days so grab it before it goes back to regular price!!!

Did ya hear Leslie has a new kit in the store? She’s a busy beaver that one…

This week has dragged on forever. It doesn’t help that my daughter has been grounded from the TV and computer all week  either. She’s been driving me UP the wall….Saturday she has dance class and then a  birthday party to go to and then Sunday we have to pick up a truck load of frozen cookie dough , deliver it all to Steve’s work and then we’re going to visit Steve’s aunt and uncle and bring them coffee.

I did get  some scrapping done this week. I was PO’d at a lot of stuff this week so I took it out on Photoshop and voila….

Al and his mischievious twinkle just cracks me up. He’s always been Steve’s favorite uncle from the time he was small. Taught the kids to catch greased pigs, how to shoot guns, and a slew of other trouble. To this day he makes my daughter laugh her butt off. He’s the biggest kid of the bunch and calls them EXACTLY as he sees them. Tactful is NOT his middle name. Bwahahaha (I used Kim B’s Glam Tidings )

This is Miss Morgan again. I snafu’d this picture from her Mom’s Facebook. I fiddled around with Kim’s Time Anew and Soft Whisper kits and then fiddled around with the photos using papers as overlays etc…I LOVED how it came out and I was super happy when that shadow just worked…Paula loved it so it was well worth the effort!!! I am working on another one but have decided I can’t stand the sight of it so it will be tossed and I’ll startover.(I dont know if it’s the LO I cant stand or the picture…either way I’ll start fresh)

These last few days have been rough around here. Friday Julie had a friend over for a sleepover. Great kid. Fun sleepover. No problem there. By the end of dance class she was feeling cruddy and by late afternoon on Saturday she had a 102.9 fever. Sunday it was 103.4. She zoned out watching movies on the computer because the DVD player crapped out (greeeeeeeeaaatttt). Monday I woke up to the kid with a fever (still) and to the blue screen of death on my desktop. Beautifulllllll. (plz note I am being extremely sarcastic). Had to format the damn thing again and cleaned it all out. Tried explaining to hubby that Christmas and it’s promise of a new tower should come early but he wasn’t buying it. I think I have it under control but I am not doing any designing on it yet… ) Julie still felt yukky (so she said) on Monday so I kept her home from school. By mid morning the little bugger was tearing around chasing the animals and being a PITA thinkin’ it was party time , so we told her to clean her pig sty of a room. She thought she was a getting day off school. We didn’t appreciate having a fast one pulled on us, so we grounded her from the TV and made her do chores. I doubt she’ll do it again any time soon.. LOL

Hubs went back to work on nights last night and I’m going to clean this train wreck of a house, disinfecting all the kid cooties. I got absolutely no crafting done on Friday because hubby kept distracting me and I finally just threw up my hands and decided I will wait until he works day shift and then try again….I’m hoping to make time this afternoon to make morning glory muffins again. I made a batch on the weekend and two people here ate the entire batch. I got one muffin. Sigh. I didn’t get any of the apple pie I made either before he ate the whole thing. I hope his butt blows up…..

Outside my window…(if it was daylight) the leaves are red and gold and fall is in full swing. I love this time of year….(but seeing as how it’s 4:40 in the freakin’ morning) I see squat.

I am thinking… that as soon as the demon-spawn gets on the bus I am heading downstairs to my craft corner to get into the paints.

I am thankful for… my life. A warm house to live in. A happy healthy family. Friends that make me laugh daily.

I am wearing… my jammies. I’m comfy and I don’t have to be anywhere today…

I am remembering… to write down the new time for Julie’s dance class before I drop her off an hour later than I’m supposed to.

I am going… insane? lol I’m going downstairs in a bit to lock myself in my laundry room/craft room.

I am reading… I just finished reading Pandora by Anne Rice for the umpteenth time. Must got the library to get the Valkyrie series my friend Kim recommended.

I am hoping… for no distractions today so I can think…and a nap with a  cat later today…

On my mind… I have a lot on my mind. Decisions to be made..

Noticing that… It’s ungodly early here and I’ve been awake for 4 hours…menopause blows.

Pondering these words… ~”Don’t get so caught up in making a living that you forget to live your life.”~

From the kitchen… fresh coffee and toast with blackberry jam from Lake Tahoe. Yummmm!

Around the house… is a ton of clutter to be cleaned up but it can wait until the weekend. Most of it is Julie’s crap anyway.

One of my favorite things… is simply to listen to music with a warm, purring cat on my lap and lose myself in my thoughts..

As you can see today is “Deep Thoughts By Kristine” day..ROFL. I’m not feeling especially yakky today. Imagine that?! lol. I just have a lot on my mind. Some good, some so-so…but I’m taking a few days to lose myself in making crafts for Christmas and have no distractions (I hope) so I can think a few things through. I started back into touchable crafts yesterday and found it so relaxing. It was nice to work with paint and glitter and beads again. I didn’t realize how much I missed it until I started again… I’m hoping to have all teh Christmas craft gifts done by the end of October. I’m just going to plow through until it’s finished and see if I still find it enjoyable. ROFL

So on that note, I’m not going to chat you up anymore….here’s a freebie that co-ordinates with Kim’s color challenge at DSO..(available until Oct 31st)

Apparently slothful is something that is working for me. LOL Thanksgiving was very lazy and very quiet. Julie spent the afternoon on the laptop playing games at Poptropica.com. Steve took the dog for a walk and then finished working on the deck gates and I was at the desktop with my headphones on watching the movie Grease. LOL (I love Stockard Channing to bits). Steve didn’t want anything fussy so I just started things off with a baked brie and then we had a roast chicken, potatos, peas, buns and leftover pecan pie. We’ll have a turkey later on in November. I was born in the USA (Minnesota) so I also celebrate American Thanksgiving. (any excuse to overeat really..). We’ll do a turkey and stuffin’ then….Mmmmmmm….stuffing….LOL

I havent opened Photoshop for the last 4 or 5 days and I haven’t had the urge to. No color swatches are “speaking to me” yet but also I am itching to get into the crafts downstairs in my craft corner. It’s time to get ready for Christmas. I decided that when I put up a glass block decoration in my diningroom on Saturday. I just got the lights in so far. Haven’t done any glass etching yet (I was rushed) but I am dying to get into the paints, wires and beads and get crafty. I really miss that kind of crafting. ;-(  Time to get back & dabble into my first love I think….(see if I still enjoy it).

Well I’m going to sign off and do some laundry. Hubs is getting chili for supper and Julie and I will have leftover chicken (or maybe I will get her to cook Kraft Dinner). I’m going to clean out this computer, back  it up and hopefully get something creative done , whether in the craft room or in Photoshop. Have a great day!!!
