Now how’s that for a title?! ROFL!!! We are waiting on a water delivery. The hubby has been told a few times this week to check the water level in the cistern, only to forget because he was fixing the snowmobile. He goes out yesterday to check the cistern to discover there isn’t enough to take a shower let alone flush a toilet. Let’s just say the house ad it’s occupants smell very much bad today. LOL! Water truck is supposed to be here this morning. Normally I have to wait 3 days for a delivery but explained that I live with a tool and now have NO water left. Patty felt sorry for us (apparently she lives with a tool too) and booked us a load for this morning. 
I can hardly wait to have a shower and scrub till I squeak! LOL!!
Had a good scrapping day yesterday. I know…I must be sick. I have done 7 layouts in 5 days. Call a doctor!! 
I got my hands on Simple Man by Carjazi Designs and this is what I did with it.
Steve HATES that picture of him with his glasses on which is part of the reason why I used it Sometimes it’s fun to drive him crazy. ROFLMBO!!! Next up was this one.
Don’t you love her expression? she was sooo PO’d with me for taking that picture. Not because I took a picture of her witha shower cap on, but she was worried I might have taken a picture of her boobs. LOL!!! This new modesty thing of her is hilarious seeing as how she still runs around bare butt (at least her boobs are covered though) ROFL!! I used a free template by Shazbutt and I used Kim’s From Santa With Love kit. Last but not least is this one.
This one is my personal favorite and it’s also my desktop. I used another one of Kim’s festive kits called Glam Tidings for this one. I was having a hell of a time getting a picture to show off Snickers’ tortoiseshell markings but seeing as how she’s 85% black, they weren’t showing up, they were blending too much, so I just desaturated the photo and then masked out the eyes so they would pop out. I also scratched another thing off my To Do list I wanted to do a layout using each of Kim’s kits. ..and I did. I told her yesterday to quit making nice stuff and if she put out another kit she was shit outta luck!! I am designing dammit! She just laughed at me like she usually does! Have you checked out her new color swatch for February? Bright and sassy and best of all , no “mojo suckin” pastels! I told her that too! HaHa!!!

Had a very relaxing day yesterday. Got some extracting done, did some laundry, snuggled with 2 cats ALOT and even got some scrapping done. Wanna see?
This is me and Sheila aka “The Other Wife”. Sheila is Steve’s best friend. She was a bridesmaid in his first wedding and when Steve & his wife split up, Sheila took sides and it wasn’t with the ex-wife’s. After Steve and I started dating in ’94, he got called back to work in Hamilton, so he moved in with Sheila and they were room-mates for 2 years until I moved down here and Steve & I bought this house in ’96. She’s been really good to both of us and a constant source of entertainment as well. When she calls on the phone which is sometimes 4 times a day, I holler at Steve. “It’s your wife. Don’t keep her waiting dammit!”. LOL!!!!. Even Julie calls her the other wife. ROFL!!!! This picturewas taken this past Sunday when Sheila, her hubby Tim and 2 1/2 yr old daughter came “bug-ogganing” at our place.
Oh and Crops….we have a dog silly!!!
His name is Manny (short for Manitou). He’s part Husky, part German Shepherd and all stupid! LOL!!! We’ve had him for 13 years now. He loves to chase deer, snowmobiles & wild turkeys,likes to kill neighbor’s cats (but he’s terrified of the two here at home), can’t swim , gets sprayed by skunks every year and can clear a room when he farts. LOL!!!!!
OK I was going somewhere with this post but now I can’t remember so I guess I’ll pack it in and hope that that I will remember tomorrow. Anyone else suffer from CRS?!

OK I’m being sarcastic because as much as I love winter fun, I am craving some warm sunshine on my face. I want to be able to go outside without having to put on my long johns and 4 other layers. I want to get in my flowerbeds and I want a sunburn. I still have months to wait for those 2 things…I need to win the lottery so I can take a few friends and go to Fiji, indulge in large quantities of rum, eat ourselves silly and get spa treatments on demand.
Sigh…sounds good doesn’t it? Yeah it does. Sounds much better than the 20 cms of snow Mother Nature is going to drop on us today.
Not much to tell ya today. Was busy doing extractions yesterday. My eyes are sore now. I’m going to give them a break today . Hubby forgot to bring home DVDs last night because he got carried away in Princess Auto (the tool mecca for a tool junkie).I get carried away in there too so he is forgiven. So I guess the rest of the burning will have to wait because I’m not driving in the snow. Today is a good day to curl up in a blanket with a few cats and read. I should probably get some designing done on the laptop but I just dont feel like it today. There’s a blizzard on the way and the cats need snuggling. That’s my mission for today.

The office purge continues. So far I have all the scrap booking stuff I want to keep and my CU collection backed up, burned and deleted off the drive. Those combined folders were over 75 Gig. I never realized how much stuff I had until I started getting rid of it. LOL! Today I’ll be doing the tubes, plugins, PSP files, PS files and my stuff. I figure that’s another 50 Gig that will come off the drive but when I’m done I’ll have over 175 Gig of space to collect! ::rolls eyes::
While I was spring cleaning the desktop, I decided to clean out the laptop too. It was no where near as cluttered as the desktop. It is strictly for designing. However I got rid of about 4 IM programs I had installed that I rarely use. I can’t type fast enough or legibly enough for an instant messenger. LOL!! While I was purging, I found a unfinished kit that I have been toiling with since October and kept getting stuck on, so last night I divided it up into 5 chunks and I’ll do previews today and give it out on Fridays during February. Time to move on. The laptop’s second drive is now empty so all I need to do now is run the adaware, spybot, virus and then defrag the sucker. One machine down. The other in progress. Hope to have this one finished later this aft. I left a note for Steve to pick up more DVDs on his way home from work tonight ‘cuz I have used them all. My bad. Also made a mental note not to collect SO much stuff.
Miss Nora stopped by yesterday & told me she was challenging me. LOL!!! So I swung by to see what she was talking about. The rules for this challenge are: Go to where you store your photos on your computer. Go to your 6th folder and choose your 6th picture in that folder. Post it and tell a wee story about it. Sounds easy right? I liked the idea of this one and while I wasn’t in a scrapping mood last night, I did set aside the photo.
This photo was in late October 2008. (the only reason I know that is because my wedding ring is repaired and back on my finger and my hair is curly, brown and long in that picture. I am now straight, blond and short. LOL and I went straight and shorter in the first week of Nov..). When I get a blanket on me I usually doze while watching TV but if I get a cat on my lap, I’m screwed. I fall asleep. I am a sucker to their purring. When BOTH of them get on my lap I lose feeling in my legs. ROFL!!! There’s a combined total of 30 lbs. of cat on my lap/legs in that photo and they have no interest in moving. Why should they? They are comfy, I am warm and not moving. LOL!! I must say something to Steve about taking pictures of me while I’m sleeping or else I will post more photos of him on my blog….
Well I’m off to finish this download to QC and then burn and delete…burn and delete…burn and delete. LOL!!! Have a good one!
I must be feverish. I scrapped this weekend. That in itself makes one raise eyebrows because I am SO not a scrapper. I aspire to doing 1 layout a month but am lucky if I get one done a year. LOL!! I had planned on cleaning the office this weekend and backing up the computer. Didn’t happen! However I did 4 layouts this weekend. Yes you read right …4!!! I started off the backup chore after I downloaded a whole pile of stuff that Kim had given me to work with. I opened them up, gasped *lol* and decided instead to try and scrap our friend Ron. I’m usually not one for journaling. I find it way too difficult to write what I want, however after using a whole mess of Kim’s old freebies and some new things from her Made With Love collection, I journaled a bit after wiping my nose for the hundredth time and loved the result.
It was a hard layout to do . Credits & journaling are here.I was an emotional mess but I wasn’t done. That layout brought out some anger that I needed to get out. I knew EXACTLY what I wanted to say and that I wanted the journaling to be front and foremost. Fast forward the REST of the box of Kleenex to this…
This one was the hardest to do but after I finished it, I felt like a HUGE weight had been lifted off my shoulders. Just to get it OFF of me, ya know? I couldn’t show Steve until yesterday. It was too personal. Yesterday I wasn’t angry. Just sad. Credits here.

Last one up was done last night. I had seen Bunny’s ” pimp” post *lol* yesterday and when I saw the preview to Just Because on her blog, I knew that the colors matched our family portrait!
One of the few times I used PSP too. I used the lawn tube and the grass tube that comes with that program but everything else is in Photoshop. Credits here.
And now I’m scrapped OUT! *lol*. Actually there is one more I want to do of me and the other wife Sheila , but I won’t start that until tonight. I have to think about what kit I want to use first.. Other than feverishly scrapping, we had a nice weekend. Julie had a friend sleepover on Saturday and we had company too. We went ice fishing, snowmobiling, tobogganing and then capped off the night by going out for Chinese food. Julie and her friend were sound asleep by 10pm. Steve got up early on Sunday morning and made the girls pancakes and bacon for breakfast and then took them back out on the skidoo while I cleaned up. Later in the morning, Steve’s other wife, her husband and young daughter came out for some winter fun. By the time the afternoon rolled around I was stiff and sore, but very relaxed thanks to lots of Kahlua in my coffee. I went to bed early and slept like a log. Today Steve is on day shift, Julie is at school so I have the house to myself so I can actually backup the desktop with no interruptions (that’s the plan anyway) and maybe play a bit on the laptop.

Today I’m locking myself in my office and backing up the desktop and burning everything to DVD’s . I have two hard drives in this sucker that are CRAMMED with stuff. I am hoping to get 15 burned today and deleted off my drives…it really needs to be done ‘cuz if my machine crashes I am screwed. LOL!! So I’ll just crank up the tunes, do a dork dance in my chair and spring clean the computer….
