Cheddar playing volley poolside. He LOVES it when there are people in the pool. That means water splashes he can chase. People to bark at if they aren’t splashing or just “herding” people up. He’s not fussy about swimming in the pool. He much prefers the swamp but that doesn’t stop Steve from picking him up and pitching him in to cool off.

Been having a ball the last day or two scrapping like a crazy person. I have 4 of them to show you!

Miss Julez after getting her medal for baseball. The coach voted her Best Centerfielder for the year. She was pretty excited!!!

I will be so glad when the cooler weather comes. Heat waves and hot flashes don’t mix!! As much as I love summer, it’s time to get back into a routine and get some structure in this house. Momma needs her sanity back. Just sayin’…

We’ve had a really busy week here. Wednesday we had company for the afternoon and supper. Steve’s aunt and uncle and another couple who Steve has known since he was a tot. We sat outside, polished off a few magnums of White Zinfandel just chatting and then pigged out on BBQ’d steaks, scalloped potatos, dump cake and the most evil chocolate pie I have ever tasted. I got it from the Pioneer Woman’s site and it’s called Chocolate Silk pie. OMG it was sooo good. I am still apologizing to my hips and my blood sugar for that one.. Instead a regular pie crust , mine was made from ground pecans, grated chocolate, brown sugar and Kahlua. good Lord… Easy to make and pure evil….

Thursday me and a friend took our girls into Simcoe for lunch at Swiss Chalet and then to the movies to see Nanny McPhee Returns. It was a really nice way to spend an afternoon and we all had fun! Thanks Mandie! (we had plans to take the girls to Wild Waterworks for the day but it was too freakin’ cold to be baring skin , let alone baring skin in an unheated pool )

Friday, Hailey came over the day and the girls just watched movies and chilled out in Julie’s room playing with Littlest Pet Shops and digging up bugs and playing with their new “pet” centipedes. I have a funny feeling that one will come back to bite me in the ass…ROFL!!

Saturday was yard sale day. Let me start off by saying I HATE having yard sales. Soooo much back breaking work goes into them and I ened up loading up the truck and taking it all to Value Village. It’s alot easier for me to just load the truck, take it to Value Village and be done with it. However Julie wanted to have  a yard sale so her dad adn I broke our backs and lugged everything out to the driveway so she could sell her too-small clothes, toys, Webkinz and some tools that Steve dug out of the basement. She and Hay stayed out there until 2pm and then Steve and I loaded up the truck and I’ll take it to Value Village sometimes this week. Lots of lookers but very few were willing to part with their money. The girls were seriously bummed out at the outcome and so were we. Oh well. I highly doubt that Julez will want to do that again. I know I don’t…. Hay helped me clean up and then the girls spent the rest of the afternoon in the pool. I jumped in fully clothed and got them squealing in giggles so it was all good. Later we had Shepherd’s Pie for supper and topped it off with a piece of the plum pie for dessert. It was sooo good! The girls wanted to roast weiners and mellos in the fireplace outside but they got into the movie Lemony Snicket and then  Santa Clause 3 instead. I came in the livingroom with my blanket to watch it with them and they shut the TV off, turned out the lights and went to bed . Guess it was my bedtime!! ROFL! Cheddar toodled off to join them and hogged the bed. He LOVES it when there is a kid sleeping over. Somebody might be a sucker and let him sleep hog the bed with them

Today is a lazy day. Nothing more strenuous than pool time today. Steve got called in for OT tonight. It’s hot and sunny. Perfect day to just do nothing but enjoy the fresh air

Why are some people so flippin’ nasty? Just because they are always that way? For sport? What is it? Do they feel better about themselves for shredding someone to bits? Obviously they don’t give a rats ass if they hurt someone….

I’ve had a few nasty emails over the years about my designs and that’s fine. To each their own. Just because what “I” like isn’t the same as what “YOU” like, doesn’t mean you should shred me to bits about my tastes. Same with the music videos I post on my blog. If you don’t like the music, that’s fine. Nobody asked you to turn the video on and then bash me because you clicked play….Seems pretty stupid to me. Everything in life is about choice. Whether or not you choose to be a good person and be kind to others. Whether or not you choose to ignore the stupidity you’re surrounded by etc…It’s all a matter of choice. I am choosing to walk away from the drama, the venom and the stupidity. I could probably sink to their level but that requires too much energy and frankly I don’t want to go there. I’m tired of the drama. Tired of all the backstabbing. I’m just jaded….

So with that said I’m going out with a  bang of new kit called Playful.

We’re almost ready for school. The two-week countdown has begun. Back to school stuff is well on it’s way. A bunch of moms are coming here on the first day back to school for coffee, cake and sanity. Julie’s yard sale was postponed until next weekend because of rain. Come hell or high water she’ll be out in the driveway or everything will be delivered to Value Village. My house is upside down because there are yard sale items scattered everywhere. Stuff on the dining room table still to be priced and the bed in the guest room is COVERED. I’ll be glad when it’s all gone. Baseball tourney went well even though they lost. After the game they went for a pool party and then went back for an exhibition game with parents, grandparents and siblings. At one point there had to been 40 people on the field. Laughter and squealing adn no pressure. It really was the best game of the year. She has decided to do it again next year now. LMAO Dance registration is on Tuesday night so we’ll soon be back into that routine. School, dance, sleep… I can hardly wait!!

As for me I have some wood crafts to finish and a list of other crafts I want to start. I’m looking forward to getting into them.

Usually I am not a fan of Fridays. It means the weekends are going to be bonkers and this is no exception however today we are THAT much closer to the kids going back to school. When that happens, Mondays will my favorite day! ROFL!! Only 17 more big sleeps!!!!

Bahahahahaha!!!!

We do have a busy weekend. Julie has a baseball tournament to do.  I was mentally done baseball when the schedule ended on July 24th. After this weekend I am physically done. They have won a toal of two games all year (one because the other team defaulted). The coaching has sucked the big one and the girls have learned very little over the last 3 months. It’s frustrating to no end. She doesn’t want to play next year and that is fine with me.

On Sunday Julie is having a yard sale. She has decided to sell all her clothes that are too small and the toys she doesn’t play with anymore as well as books etc. She gets to keep her sales and is saving up for a pair of Converse or Skechers sneakers. I refuse to pay $70 for a pair of shoes. So it looks like early Sunday morning she’ll be parked under the pine tree in the driveway with her mug of tea and having a sale. I wish her luck!!

Hubs is off this weekend too so lucky Cheddar is getting a bath tomorrow and then getting shaved. He’s soooo woolly and the vets office told us to keep him out of the water (especially the swamp) for a week after his surgery. Friday is his lucky day. Twice now he’s tried to get into the tub with me while I had my bath.
